  CINEMANIA The Leo Club of University of Colombo hosted a spine-tingling movie night on October 11, 2023. The event known as 'Cinemania' featured the terrifying horror film 'The Nun 2' and the aroma of fresh popcorn wafting through the air, filled with thrills and chills. But this wasn't just an ordinary movie night. This was organized with the aim of raising funds for the upcoming community service projects of UOC Leo Club. It all began with the idea of organizing a different fundraiser event than traditional ones. Selecting the perfect film for the event was a delightful challenge. We wanted to create an experience that would be memorable for our audience. So, we selected 'NUN 2', a terrifying tale that had our audience gripping their seats in fear.   Project “Api Apima” World Children's Day is a day to celebrate the pure and boundless joy that children bring into our lives. It's also a day to reflect on the challenges they face and how we can make a positive impact. On this Children’s Day, Leo Club of University of Colombo took the opportunity to do just that, and the experience was nothing short of heartwarming. On that special day, we set out to bring smiles to the faces of the children in Lawris Children’s Home, Borella. Our mission was simple: to share love, laughter, and valuable resources with these young souls. What transpired was a day filled with camaraderie, sharing, and inspiration. Waffles and Coffee Hut Leo club of University of Colombo had the incredible opportunity to set up a stall at the Lions Get-Together 2023 event on August 2nd, 2023. We were thrilled to be a part of this gathering and seized the chance to make a positive impact. Our stall featured a delightful spread of waffles and iced coffee, and the project unfolded seamlessly as a single-phase endeavor. The primary objective of this project was to generate funds for future initiatives and projects undertaken by our club. Lions Get-Together 2023 gave us a unique platform to achieve this goal.
