  Project Off-Grid First Phase -SDG Lens Project Off-Grid is a youth-led initiative that focuses on bringing attention to the less-focused Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and encouraging meaningful action to achieve them. The project promotes global collaboration among young leaders, and in its initial stage , more than 20 foreign Leo Clubs joined hands with us. Highlighting the strong international spirit behind the initiative and reinforcing the importance of collective responsibility in achieving sustainable development. The first phase of the project, “SDG Lens,” was successfully concluded on 1st February via Zoom, with the participation of numerous Leos from Sri Lanka and partner countries.   Project ආරක්ෂා Bus Repair Project: Phase 04   The Leo Club of University of Colombo proudly marks the successful completion of four out of six phases of its ongoing project, Project Araksha. Through this initiative, we support the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) by repairing bus braking systems to enhance the safety and reliability of public transportation. The project is driven by self-funded contributions and dedicated volunteer service.   Why We Chose This Project Public transportation plays a vital role in the daily lives of thousands of people across Sri Lanka, with buses being one of the most widely used modes of transport. On Wednesday, 28th January, a group of enthusiastic school students from Gampaha Bandaranaike Vidyalaya stepped into a world where theory met practice and curiosity met opportunity.   Alert 9.0 is a humanitarian initiative introduced by Leo Club of University of Colombo with the profound objective of supporting children who are affected by cancer. Designed as a comprehensive three-phase mission, the project addresses different facets of the battle against childhood cancer, from public education to direct patient care. As of now, the club has successfully completed the first two phases of this journey. The first phase, “Sihina Piyapath,” laid the foundation by focusing on the power of information through a nationwide awareness campaign. Building upon this, the second phase , titled “ Senehase Datha ,” shifted the focus entirely to the power of care, moving from advocacy to action to address the tangible physical and emotional needs of the children.
