Rang Dey’22


The most anticipated color festival of the year Rang Dey’22 was successfully held on the 11th of December,2022 at the Tortuga Beach Club and Restaurant from 10.30 AM onwards with a good count of enthusiastic participants. This wonderful event was organized by the Leo Club of University of Colombo, under the public relations category for the year 2022/23. The event was headed by Leo Thilina Bandara. Rang Dey 2022 brought excitement and entertainment into the lives of participants, breaking their daily routines and giving them a delightful experience all while boosting the publicity and public image of the club. 


The event was commenced with welcoming the crowd by dearest Club President Leo Haritha Vimukthi and throwing up colours to the sky to signify the commencement. Following that the project committee members organized fun games and great entertainment for everyone to partake in.  The first game on the agenda was ‘water balloon passing’ and specially the game ‘pani bambare’ was one such funny game. 

The event was thronged with many individuals from diverse backgrounds including Lions, Leos, and the general public. Rang Dey 2022, the stage was set to commence the DJ for giving a great opportunity to display participants’ dancing skills and create unforgettable memories with their loved ones with DJ Koli. Between these games there were various stalls filled with delicious food and beverages. Photography is an art of teleporting the past into the future and event photographic partners Flash Media and Colombo Beacon did a fantastic job capturing all the memorable moments and recapturing the emotions for participants. It was indeed a day full of fun and excitement.  

In making this project a success, the honor goes to all those hearts who actively participated, who worked hard and who joined for the event. As the day came to an end, Rang Dey’22 was literally a blast. With the successful conclusion of the event, the project ‘Rang Dey’ was wrapped up amidst numerous positive feedbacks. Everyone, of course took full advantage of the incredible Holi experience and music available at this colorful day. 

The day was a wonderful event that further grew the never-ending friendships. The event Rang Dey’22 will stand out on the Leo calendar and everyone deeply enjoyed amazing holi experience. Making the final note Leo Club of University of Colombo is hoping to continue this bond with club members, Lions, Leos and the public for future years.
