Kruthaguna 4.0
Ensuring and uplifting the physical and mental status of senior citizens should be paid more attention where the population is rapidly aging. By taking this into consideration Leos of University of Colombo has organized the project “Kruthaguna 4.0” for the fourth consecutive year under the category of “Senior Citizen Development”. From the overall population of Sri Lanka around 2.3 Mn is represented by the senior citizens who are above 55 years. Senior citizens are a valuable asset mainly because they are the ones who have gained a sound knowledge and great experience. A country can make use of these knowledge and experience in a more productive way for the development of a country. Therefore, it is our responsibility to protect them and ensure that they are secured. The physical health of them should be maintained in a good manner and enough attention should be paid on having regular medical check ups and recognizing whether there are any diseases in their bodies or not.
