This stage was effectively conducted on 11th February starting at 10.00 a.m. at Senehasa Elders Home Horana , uniting Leo members with a common goal of service, sustainability, and community support.   Beyond the Shelter Healing the Invisible Wounds of Cyclone Dithwa   When we think of a disaster like Cyclone Dithwa, we picture the obvious: uprooted trees, damaged homes, and flooded roads. We see the relief camps, the dry rations, and the temporary roofs. But what about the screams that wake someone up in the middle of the night? What about the anxiety that grips a parent’s heart every time the wind blows a little too hard? These are the invisible wounds, the ones you cannot bandage, but desperately need to heal.   Guided by the heartfelt belief that “Everyone Deserves to See the World,” Leo Club of University of Colombo successfully carried out Phase II of දෑසේ පැතුම — සත්කාර on 15th February at the F.I. Fernando Memorial Hall, Young Men’s   Buddhist Association, Beruwala, from 9.30 A.M. onwards. Organized under Leo District 306 D6, this initiative was thoughtfully designed to bridge the gap between need and access by delivering quality eye care to the community. The auditorium transformed into more than just a venue for a medical camp, it became a sanctuary of compassion, where service met sincerity and every effort was driven by empathy. This impactful initiative was held at the Pulinathalarama Temple in North Kalutara. The main objective of the "Suwadharani" project is to pave the way for a diabetes-free tomorrow by organizing dedicated medical clinics to support public health. As the second phase of this mission, we conducted a comprehensive medical clinic for the residents of the area. With the active participation of qualified doctors, we performed diabetes screenings and blood sugar tests for a large number of participants.
