Leo Super 7s - Phase II
Fostering Sporting Spirit Through Generosity!
The second phase of the Leo Super 7s initiative unfolded with a generous gesture towards fostering sports development. On the 29th of April, a variety of sporting equipment found its way to the Walagedra National School in Matugama. Among the items were 10 hurdles, 4 footballs, 1 netball, 2 badminton rackets, 1 disc, 1 shotput, and 3 skipping ropes. This donation aimed not only to provide the necessary tools for sporting activities but also to ignite a passion for physical fitness and teamwork among the students.
Continuing
their commitment to sports enhancement, on the 30th of April, the Department of
Physical Education at the University of Colombo received a thoughtful
contribution. The Leo Super 7s team presented a well-equipped first-aid box,
stocked with essential medicines. This gesture not only promotes safety during
sporting events but also underscores the importance of holistic support for
athletes' well-being.
Through these actions, the Leo Super 7s initiative demonstrates its dedication to nurturing sports at both grassroots and academic levels. By providing essential equipment and supporting infrastructure, they are sowing the seeds for a healthier, more active future generation.
