The project LEO ගැන්සිය was executed under the project category of “Special Events” in honor of Leo Awareness Month with effort to make everyone’s attention on a contemporary concept called “Social Networking” while granting all members of the Leo Multiple District 306 to raise awareness about how it was built their social networks and all kind of experiences that they could gather due to engage in leoism. This was preceded on a virtual platform via the official Facebook page Leo Club of University of Colombo, as a challenging game where it was required all contestants to send a pleasing photograph along with the unforgettable experiences and the beautiful shadow story of their “Proud Gang” on or before 14th April 2020. Surprisingly 32 different Leo gangs have got registered and joined with this beautiful event irrespective of their Club, District and Social status. Survival 2.0 is the project with three phases under the project category of Disaster Management and Prevention. Due to lack of awareness and preparedness, man-made or natural disasters cause heavy damages on people’s property as well as some may lose their lives The 1st phase was conducted on 06th March of 2020 as a school awareness program with a practical session on disaster management and prevention by lecturer Cpl. Samantha Thushara with support of other NBRO officers at WP/ Mathugama Kithulgoda Junior College that was experienced landslide disaster before. கொவிட் - 19 உம் இளைஞர்களின் பொறுப்புக்கூறலும்

“கொவிட் – 19” என கண்டறியப்பட்ட கொரோனா வைரஸ் தொற்றானது உலகின் பெரும்பாலான நாடுகளை உலுக்கியெடுத்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றது. உலகளவில் 177 நாடுகள் பிராந்தியங்களில் இப்பந்தி எழுதப்படும் வரை 877584 பேருக்கு இத்தொற்று ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது. 43569 பேர் கொரோனா தொற்றினால் இதுவரை உயிரிழந்துள்ளனர். 185,067 பேர் இத்தொற்றிலிருந்து பூரணமாக குணமடைந்து வீடு திரும்பியுள்ளதாக சம்பத்திய தரவுகள் கூறுகின்றன. கொரோனா வைரஸானது சீனாவின் வூஹான் மாகாணத்தில் 2019 டிசம்பர் மாதமளவில் கண்டறியப்பட்டது. வூஹானில் உள்ள அசைவ உணவுகளின் சந்தையில் விற்கப்பட்ட விலங்குகளிடம் இருந்தே இந்நோய் பரவியுள்ளதாக சீன அரசு தெரிவித்துள்ளது. வூஹான் மாகாணத்தில் இருந்து சீனாவின் பிறமாகாணங்களுக்கும் உலகின் பிற நாடுகளுக்கும் இவ்வைரஸ் தொற்றானது பரவத்தொடங்கியது. இவ்வைரஸ் தொற்றானது ஒருவருக்கு பரவி அறிகுறிகள் காட்டுவதற்கு 14 நாட்கள் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளும். அந்த காலப்பகுதிக்குள் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட நபர் மூலம் மற்றயர்வளிடம் இத்தொற்று பரவிக் கொள்கின்றது. கொரோனா பாதிக்கப்பட்ட நபர் இருமும் போது இவ்வைரஸ் காற்றில் கலக்கலாம். இக்காற்றை சுவாசிக்கும் போது அல்லது இவ்வைரஸ் பரவிய இட

In Sri Lanka the Universal Free Education Policy was introduced by the government in 1945. It was designed in order to provide free education facilities to all students from Kindergarten to the University Education. Although there are several issues associated with the resources needed to obtain for the purpose of quality education in bucolic areas in Sri Lanka, according to the recent statistics 98.3% of children are enrolled into Primary Education or schooling.  However, it is also acknowledged that some children with particular characteristics are vulnerable to exclusion from school or might be prevented from completing a full basic education of good quality due to poverty & lack of resources.  Thereby, project “Together as Humans 4.0” was organized and executed under the project category of Quality Education and Literacy as the most awaited project of the year of Leo Club of University of Colombo for the 5th consecutive Leoistic year.
