Words of GRATITUDE for our Guardian Angels
Mother nature has started to punish all the human beings for their evilness and this time the punishment is severe and the whole world has knelt before her punishment: COVID 19. Even “developed” countries are very helpless. It is somewhat funny to see how some so-called “human rights friendly” countries have decided not to treat people with down syndrome since they are no use for the country’s economy. Also, when some “developed” countries have ignored the safety of their citizens and act in a careless way without taking a single action for the protection of citizens, when some countries have decided to treat only for elite class of the society, when some countries do not let patient even to reach near a hospital without a health insurance, when some countries have given up treating new patients, it is so surprising the effort which is taken by our heroes including all the soldiers, medical and health service staffs, members of police and all other public servants to ensure the safety of the Sri Lankan citizens.
Their hard working, their sleepless nights, their dedication are all to keep Sri Lanka safe from this devil: Covid 19. They have forgotten about their own health, they have left behind their loved ones, families at home, they are spending sleepless, foodless, restless nights to ensure the comfort, health and the safety of us. Medical staffs are doing their best to cure the patients and give them a new hope about life. When people are so difficult to control, when people trying to break rules in order to break free from quarantine, police and other security forces try their best to keep people at their home during the day and night. Even we get the food, medicine and other necessary items to our doorstep. Can you remember of another country where they do all these for free and with such a self-sacrificing way? Why are they doing such a huge commitment? Why are they taking such a burden to treat us? They also could stay at home, with their loves ones, eating, sleeping, resting well. But they have given up all and make sure to keep safe. So isn’t it worthy to give them our gratitude? We are so much in debt to them. They are the LIFE SAVIOURS, they are our PROTECTORS, they are our GUARDIAN ANGELS. So THANK YOU SO MUCH for your dedication, for your sacrifice. We know your hard and long hours of work, time away from family is really difficult. We know that you risk your life to keep us safe. So for all these immense efforts, all of you are very much appreciated. We all are sincerely grateful for all of you. Mother Sri lanka needs more noble people like you.
So these few word of gratitude are dedicated to all the members in three forces, medical and
health staff and all the members of security services and all the other people who are fighting
really hard to defeat the COVID-19 keep us safe from it. You are our ultimate saviours, our
heroes and our hope during this crisis of a deadly virus.
