Project Bright Drop – Illuminating
Lives with Clean Water and Light
1st Phase – “Aqua Light”
On December 13th, the first phase of the “Bright Drop Project – Aqua Light” was successfully launched, marking a meaningful step toward community empowerment through access to clean water and sustainable lighting. This phase was proudly implemented at the Habarana District Hospital, selected as the inaugural beneficiary of the project. In this phase we designed to address two essential needs of everyday life: safe drinking water and reliable light. By combining these elements, the project aims to improve health standards, enhance working conditions, and uplift the overall well-being of underserved communities.
As a part of the first phase, a water filtration system was installed at Habarana District Hospital in collaboration with Royal Waters (Pvt) Ltd, whose technical expertise and support played a vital role in ensuring the success of the initiative. Along with the installation, hospital staff were provided with clear instructions and demonstrations on how to properly use and maintain the water filter, ensuring long-term effectiveness and sustainability.
In addition to the water filter installation, energy-efficient bulbs were distributed to further support the hospital by improving lighting conditions. Adequate lighting is crucial in a healthcare environment, as it enhances visibility, safety, and efficiency for both medical staff and patients.
The changes at Habarana District Hospital may seem simple, yet their impact will be felt every day-by a patient finding comfort, a nurse working a long shift, or a doctor making a critical decision.
The successful completion of
the first phase of Bright Drop-Aqua light has laid a strong foundation for
future phases of the project. Inspired by the positive response and visible
impact, we look forward to expanding this initiative to reach more communities
in need.
