Project Be Their Vision 8.0 – Phase 01
“Walking Heart: Lighting a path of hope and confidence for the visually impaired.”
The Leo Club of University of Colombo started the "Be Their Vision" project with the aim of helping hand to the blind and visually impaired people in Sri Lanka who need help. On January 24th of 2024, first phase of the "Be Their Vision" project was successfully completed. We would like to express with great happy and humble pride that it was able to be done in a very effective and success manner as expected for the 8th time.
The first phase of the Be Their Vision project called "walking heart" was carried out at the Colombo National Eye Hospital with the welfare of blind people perfectly. A donation of white canes was made to the National Eye Hospital.
We would like to express our gratitude to all the parties who supported us in various ways to successfully complete the first phase of the "Be Their Vision" project, which was carried out for the benefit of the entire society for the needy blind people who need help in this way.
First of all, we would like to thank the director, doctors and entire staff of the Colombo National Eye Hospital for coming forward for the success of the project. Also, we express our happiness and gratitude for the support given by the Sri Lanka Council for the Blind in ordering and purchasing white canes. The committee members of Be Their Vision project played an important role by devoting themselves to its success and therefore we would like to highly appreciate them.
In this way, we are very happy to inform you that this
great social service for the blind people held at the Colombo National Eye
Hospital on January 24, 2024 from 9.30 am has been completed by the Leo Club of
University of Colombo in a great way.
