"මතින් තොර හෙටක්" - Second Phase

The Leo Club of University of Colombo executed the "මතින් තොර හෙටක්" project, a robust initiative targeting community awareness on drug and alcohol abuse dangers. There were three phases in the project, the second phase was on February 6, 2024. In this phase, volunteers posted posters in key locations around Colombo, including hospitals and schools. such as Colombo National Hospital, Kothalawalapura Maha Vidyalaya Ratmalana, New Model College in Makuluduwa, and Mahinda Rajapaksha College Homagama. To reach a large audience, Club members actively engaged with the public, educating them about the risks associated with drug use.

With a focus on encouraging people to choose a life free from drugs and alcohol and enabling the way towards a more positive future, the thoughtfully created posters aimed to convey a compelling and reflective message. The committed volunteers were committed to making an impact in the lives of those living in their community and saw the significance of their mission.

Beyond just posters, the "මතින් තොර හෙටක්" effort aimed to promote awareness, encourage change, and promote unity against drug and alcohol abuse. It was for dedication to creating an imprint that lasts on the community and having a meaningful contribution of whatever size. This was successfully completed by the volunteers the University of Colombo's Leo Club, ensuring that their contributions would be remembered.
