  Empowering Women for a Safer Tomorrow: Sureki Hetak 8.0 – Phase 01 Sureki Hetak 8.0 project “First phase” earned its name from the quote “Empower women, and secure tomorrow.” This phase was aimed at alumni women students who learned the first aid and self-defense methods. It was executed under the direction of Leo club of University of Colombo. The focus of this session of the training was for the young women to cope not only with medical emergencies but also with potential physical attacks. This phase of the project was attended with great enthusiasm by the university students. The students were provided two interrelated forms of training, one dealing with the medical side and the other with security.         A Drop of Kindness, A Life Saved Continuing its mission to uplift and support the community, the Leo Club of the University of Colombo successfully organized හුස්ම – Phase 3 of the Care Gen project. Held on March 26, 2025, at FMF Hall No. 03, this blood donation campaign was a testament to the club’s unwavering commitment to promoting health and well-being. Prarthana 7.0 - Phase 03

 Fostering peaceful and supportive environments for young individuals requires skilled and empathetic mentors. Recognizing this, Leo Club of University of Colombo organized the third phase Unity Rise, under the Prarthana 7.0 initiative on 21st of March, at the National Youth Corps Headquarters. This specialized training session was designed exclusively for National Youth Corps officers, equipping them with essential conflict resolution, mediation, and negotiation skills. Led by Mrs. Supeshala Rathnayaka, an expert in sociology, psychology, and counseling, the session provided officers with practical strategies to de-escalate conflicts, foster positive communication, and create supportive environments for the young individuals they mentor.
