In a time where environmental challenges continue to grow, initiatives that inspire real change are more important than ever. Bringing creativity and purpose together, Leo Club of University of Colombo successfully carried out the third phase of their Eco Clean 2.0 project through an impactful event “EcoFusion : Sustainable Innovation Fair” 

Held at the Obesekarapura Community Hall from 9.00AM to 3.00 PM on 25th April 2026,, EcoFusion was more than just an exhibition. It was a space where ideas, innovation, and sustainability came together. The event showcased how discarded materials like plastic, paper, cardboard, and organic waste can be transformed into meaningful, high-quality products. From home decor to fashion accessories and practical lifestyle items, every creation reflected a powerful message “waste can be reimagined”.

What made EcoFusion truly special was the opportunity it created for small-scale eco-entrepreneurs. Participants from different parts of the country were able to display and sell their products, connect with customers, and gain valuable exposure. For many, it was not just about business, but about being part of a movement that promotes sustainability and responsible living.

Beyond its creative displays, EcoFusion carried a deeper purpose. It encouraged visitors to rethink their everyday habits and understand that waste management is not only the responsibility of authorities, but a shared duty of every individual. By presenting practical examples of reuse and recycling, the event gently inspired people to make more conscious and environmentally friendly choices in their daily lives.
