Elation with Rising Stars 2026

The strength of a good youth movement is its ability to inspire, support, and give people chances to show their talents and grow. That is why the Leo Club of University of Colombo  proudly celebrates the successful completion of the Elation with Rising Stars Auditions Round in 2026 as the eight consecutive year. This stands as a powerful platform for the Leos and Lions across Sri Lanka, where their talent in singing and dancing is discovered and celebrated.

 

A Stage for Talent and Growth

 

Elation with Rising Stars 2026 was not only a competition, but a dedicated stage created for young Leos to express themselves freely and confidently. It was a platform where the participants could perform their abilities by learning from the experience. Every performance became a moment of growth, helping contestants build confidence, improve their skills, and compete in a fair and positive way.

 

The auditions round were successfully held on 19th of April at the premises of Faculty of Management and Finance in University of Colombo. There were talented participants representing 12 Leo Multiple Districts with the participation of 15 clubs. The diversity of contestants brought together different styles, cultures, and artistic expressions, enriching the entire experience.

 

Purpose and Vision 

 

The core purpose of Rising Stars auditions was to provide Leos with a meaningful platform to present their talents while strengthening unity within the Leo and Lions community. This  encouraged collaboration, confidence, and mutual respect, breaking barriers and promoting the idea that talent can grow regardless of background when given the right opportunity.

 

Judging Panel and Constructive Feedback

 

The auditions were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges. There were Mr.Sameera Lalithanga and Mr.Thilina Fernando as the judges for Singing. And Mr. Lakshitha Peiris and Ms.Thuli Perera for Dancing performances. These judges played an important role in guiding the contestants by offering constructive feedback and highlighting areas for more  improvements. That made the auditions round more than just a competition. Actually it became a valuable learning experience which helped participants to understand their strengths and refine their performance skills.

 

Memorable Audition Highlights

 

The Elation with Rising Stars auditions were filled with powerful and inspiring moments.There were emotion-filled singing performances that touched the audience and energetic and well-choreographed dance routines which hyped the competition.The strong stage presence from emerging performers got the fullest support and encouragement from the audience made the event both competitive and inspiring.

 

Selection of Finalists

 

After a highly competitive and inspiring round of performances, four exceptional contestants were selected to move forward to the final stage in both dancing and singing categories. Those performances stood out due to the contestants originality, confidence, and ability to connect with the audience. Those earned them the well deserved place in the next phase of the competition.

 

Elation 2026 continues to go beyond competition by offering participants a journey of self-improvement and development. Through this experience, contestants were able to gain confidence and improve stage presence, receive valuable feedback for skill enhancement, build connections within the Leo and Lions community and learn the importance of discipline, teamwork, and dedication.

 

Conclusion

 

As the Elations with Rising Stars 2026 auditions concluded,once again proves its value as a platform of growth, creativity, and unity. We are proudly celebrating the eight successful years which continue to empower young individuals to discover their potential and refine their talents.

 

Elation is not just a competition we hold, it is a journey where rising stars are shaped, supported, and given the opportunity to shine brightly.

  Celebrating and Empowering Women Batik Entrepreneurs On 27th March 2026, the first initiative of the third phase of Project  Abhimani  was successfully carried out at the auditorium of the National Crafts Council. This initial step functioned as a preliminary session aimed at empowering small-scale women entrepreneurs who had completed NVQ Level 3 in batik design. The initiative began with calling applications for the grand finale competition, followed by a comprehensive workshop designed to guide and prepare the participants.
