  Sindu Nala Raksha 8.0 – Phase 01: Wing Wisdom       “Nature’s Symphony, Our Responsibility “ Embodying the theme "Nature's Symphony, Our Responsibility", Leo Club of University of Colombo proudly marked the first phase of Project Sindu Nala Raksha 8.0, titled “Wing Wisdom”. This initiative was dedicated to raising awareness about biodiversity conservation, with a special focus on Sri Lanka's native butterfly species at the Open Zoo in Pinnawala. Our goal was to inspire visitors of the zoo to appreciate and protect the rich natural heritage of Sri Lanka. The first phase, titled "Journey to Touch the Moon," was a testament to the club's dedication to helping the younger generation build their dreams, nurturing the skills, confidence, and imagination they need to eventually lead society. This project, dedicated to support visually impaired individuals, aims to improve their welfare and wellbeing. As the second phase of “Be Their Vision 9.0”, an initiative led by the Leo Club of University of Colombo, we recently organized a dedicated awareness session for pregnant mothers.                             Sasiri Hetak - Phase 02 “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest” On October 18th, 2024, Leo Club of University of Colombo embarked on the second phase of the "Sasiri Hetak" school renovation project at G/Dellawa National College, Dellawa. Our mission was to transform the learning environment into one that would inspire both students and teachers. This time, we took on the renovation of a classroom by painting desks, chairs, and walls to breathe new life into the space. Some of our dedicated members journeyed to Neluwa on October 16th, where we stayed at a fellow Leo’s home, close to the school. What began as a mission to improve a classroom turned into an unforgettable experience. The following day, we dove headfirst into repairs, fueled by enthusiasm and camaraderie.
