A Game Full of Hope: Empowering Young Dreams at Hithokadawala
On April 25th, Leo Blaze’25 officially started its journey with the launch of its first phase, "Hand to Hand," at Hithokadawala Secondary School, Maho. This was a big moment, beginning a mission to give not just sports equipment but also opportunities, hope, and strength to the next generation. The idea behind "Hand to Hand" is simple but powerful: every child deserves the chance to play, train, and dream big. Sadly, many children cannot follow their dreams because they don’t have the basic things that they need. But those children have national-level sports skills and are eager to progress through sports.

Seeing this need, our team worked hard to fill the gap by donating important sports items and organizing a fitness session to help build the students’ strength, confidence, and teamwork. Making this vision real needed the help and support of the school’s staff. Thanks to the encouragement from the school’s principal, Ms. U.G.R. D. Udalamaththa, and the Physical Training teacher, Ms. Ishanka Bandaranayaka, the project was warmly welcomed. They provided important information about the school and supported us every step of the way, helping us to successfully complete the project. We focused on creating a space where students could see sports not just as games, but as a way to build leadership, team spirit, and self-belief..

The donation was only the first step. Throughout the day, students took part in fitness activities led by our team, learning how strength, discipline, and hard work are important both on and off the field. Watching their excitement and energy showed us exactly why Leo Blaze’25 is so important—not just for giving equipment, but for giving hope. Leo Blaze’25 - Hand to Hand is about much more than sports. It’s about planting small seeds of hope that will grow into big dreams. It’s about showing every child that their dreams matter, their efforts are seen, and they are not alone.
When we pass hope from one hand to another, we build a future full of champions—not just in sports, but in life.
