Leo Universalis project, proudly initiated by Leo Club of University of Colombo, is not just a program; it is a vibrant journey towards fostering global understanding and cultural exchange among Leo clubs around the world. This initiative gathers like-minded individuals from diverse backgrounds, promoting cross-cultural awareness while celebrating the richness and beauty of global traditions.
Our journey began with the spirit of connection encapsulated in our motto, “Roar together.” This initial step focused on building meaningful relationships among the participating Leo clubs, laying the groundwork for collaboration and mutual respect. As we transitioned into the second step, named “Voices of the World,” we ventured into an exhilarating cultural exploration. Each participating club was assigned a country different from their own, tasked with creating a short video that magnificently showcases the culture, traditions, and customs of that assigned country. This endeavor not only deepens cultural awareness but also ignites innovation and creativity, allowing clubs to immerse themselves in and celebrate the vast diversity of global traditions.
As we reflect on this remarkable journey, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the executive committee, the dedicated organizing committee, and every participant who contributed, no matter how small their role. Your collective efforts have been invaluable in ensuring the success of this project. Each one of you has played a pivotal role in weaving this beautiful tapestry of cultural exchange. Additionally, our international Leo Clubs have embraced this opportunity with enthusiasm, engaging fully in the tasks and providing invaluable feedback that has enriched our experience. Your collaboration has made our project not only a learning opportunity but also a celebration of unity in diversity, demonstrating how our shared values transcend geographical borders.
