Project සත්කාර - Phase I
Project සත්කාර: Championing Responsible Plastic Waste Management
In a world where people are worried about the environment, projects like Project සත්කාර give us hope. The Leo Club of University of Colombo, in collaboration with the Lions Club of Gothatuwa New Century Leo, proudly presents Project සත්කාර. This project shows how working together as a community can help solve big problems. The main goal of Project සත්කාර is to help people handle plastic waste better by encouraging them to throw away their plastic bottles in the right way and recycle them.
On February 21st, 2024, at 1.30 p.m. the project started, and it was a big moment for making our world cleaner and greener. The event was full of happiness and excitement as guests and people who care about the environment came together to support this great effort.
The
day started with guests being welcomed warmly by Club President Leo Shamod

important moments of the day was when they officially started using a PET

placed at the Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo, and
it's a simple but powerful way to remind us all to take care of our planet. Having

special. He talked about why projects like Project සත්කාර
are
so important for making real change in our communities.
