Project සත්කාර - Phase II
Empowering Tomorrow's Environmental Stewards
In our ongoing mission to protect our planet, the donation program of waste management equipment is selected for the second phase of Project සත්කාර. It was launched on April 3rd, 2024 at Kottawa North Dharmapala Vidyalaya. This time, we focus on educating and empowering school children on how to take care of the environment by handling waste responsibly. It's an important step in making sure our future is sustainable.
The big thing we did was give the school children tools to help manage waste better. We gave them special waste management equipment and reusable garbage bags. These might seem simple, but they remind the children every day about the importance of throwing away trash properly. And, the children are encouraged to start good habits early on.
The
principal of Kottawa North Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Mr. Udayaruwan Mallikarachchi was
thankful for the reusable garbage bags. He said they'd make a big difference in
keeping the school clean and teaching the students about taking care of the
environment. Looking ahead, we must keep teaching school children about the
environment and giving them the tools they need to help. Projects like සත්කාර
help
us do just that. They help us plant the seeds of caring for the environment in
young minds and inspire everyone to work together to protect our planet.
In
the end, this second phase of Project සත්කාර
is
a big step forward in our efforts to teach about waste management and
protecting the environment. By giving school children the right tools and
knowledge, we are building a future where our planet is healthier and cleaner.
Let's keep working together to make sure every person does their part in
keeping our planet safe.
