Sureki Hetak 6.0 phase 03
People experience both permanent disabilities and death as a result of railway accidents. People use trains more frequently in developing nations like Sri Lanka because they can do so for a lower cost. Government employees use the train to travel to their jobs, particularly when season tickets are available to students. In Sri Lanka, the supply of rail transportation does not meet the demand.
These warning banners were installed at the railway stations at Enderamulla, Batuwatta, Bulugahagoda, Yagoda, and Nugegoda on March 31st, 2023.
We had to get permission from the railway department for this and with the railway department's approval, and support from an English-to-Tamil translator, we printed the banner and installed it in the railway stations...
"Avoid boarding moving trains"
"Always cross the railway line using the cross bridge"
"Do not take selfies on the railway track"
These are the statements that were posted on the boards.
With the primary aim of reducing train accidents, phase 03 of the Sureki Hetak 6.0 project was completed by the effort of project chairperson Leo Chanduni Paranagama, project secretary Leo Malshi Karunarathne, project treasure Leo Dilshan Peris and our committee members.
